Liquid Germall Plus

Liquid Germall Plus preservative is a patented combination of Germall II and IPBC in propylene glycol. It is a broad spectrum antimicrobial preservative for emulsions and aqueous formulations. Liquid Germall Plus is compatible to most cosmetic ingredients, including proteins and surfactants. It provides effective and reliable antimicrobial preservation over a broad pH level of 3 to 8.

It can be used in a wide variety of products including shampoos, body/shower gels, conditioners and other high water content products, as well as water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, creams, lotions, scrubs and make-up

Suggested Applications: Liquid Germall Plus can effectively preserve cationic, anionic and nonionic water soluble formulations, as well as in the emulsified portion of oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions for both leave-on and rinse off applications. It is also a good choice for wetwipe systems.

Recommended Use Level: 0.1% - 0.5%. For complex formulation, a higher level of Liquid Germall Plus is recommended for proper preservation.

Liquid Germall Plus should be added to the water phase or to the emulsified portion of the formulation at the temperature of 50C or below, during the cool down stage of processing.
