Shipping and Refund Policy

Shipping Policy

YellowBee strive to help our customers to save on the shipping cost. At present, we offer shipping via Canada Post, Canpar, UPS, FedEx, Purolator and ICS. All our products will be shipped from Calgary, AB. Please note that all carriers do not pick up parcels on weekends and holidays.

As default, all packages will not require signature upon arrival. You may check the “signature upon delivery” box if you require this service. However, extra charges may apply. The Base Insurance Free coverage is different with different carriers. If no extra Insurance is requested, the maximum claim amount you will receive will be the amount allowable by the carrier (if any). The customer is responsible for the balance of loss. Within Canada, shipping with Canada Post Regular Parcel and ICS do not come with any insurance.

For orders of subtotal over $200, a Signature Required service is automatically included to ensure secure delivery. If you prefer to waive this requirement, please inform us in advance. Please note that without a signature, your parcel may be redirected to a depot or designated pickup location if no one is available to receive it.

Orders with a subtotal under $200 DO NOT include a signature requirement by default. In such cases, the courier will attempt delivery and may leave the parcel at your doorstep if no one answers after a reasonable attempt to make contact. Some couriers may drop the parcel at their designated pickup location for you to pick up at your own convenience. Failure to pickup within the timeframe will result in the parcel being returned to the sender. Customer will be responsible for the shipping cost (both ways) of the returned parcel and restocking fee, if you choose to cancel the order.

Please be advised that we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have been delivered, including incidents involving porch theft.

When the package has a confirmed delivery, a tracking number (if applicable) will be emailed to you. You can use the tracking number to know its status and when to expect a delivery. For any delivery issues, customer needs to contact the courier service. 

The shipping costs will be calculated by the shipping or the courier company. If the shipping costs were miscalculated (rarely but this can sometimes happen), we reserve the right to adjust the shipping to reflect the actual cost. If this happen, we will contact you with the correct shipping charges to collect the remainder amount due. 

Please ensure that the proper and correct address is provided at the time of your order. Packages returned to us marked ‘Returned’, ‘Unclaimed’, or ‘Invalid Address’ will be credited back to the customer, less a 20% restocking fee and all shipping charges, including any additional return shipping charges assessed by the courier.

A 20% restocking fee will be charged to you if an order is cancelled after processing has begun.

We reserve the right to use a different courier with similar or better service or turnaround time should the needs arise.

In the case of missing / undelivered parcels, we will file a claim with the respective carrier on your behalf but we will not re-ship your order.

If you would like your order to be insured beyond the basic coverage provided by the carrier, you must request and pay for additional shipping insurance at the time of ordering.

Please note:

  • Not all carriers include basic insurance with their services.

  • If additional insurance is not requested and paid for, any lost parcels will be subject to the maximum claim limit set by the carrier (if applicable).

  • In most cases, the standard maximum claim amount is CAD $100, regardless of your order’s actual value.

  • ICS Courier shipments do not include any insurance coverage.

We strongly recommend purchasing additional insurance for high-value orders to protect against potential loss or damage during transit.

As per UPS's policy, their insurance does not cover for breakage, loss or theft for parcels that contain glass or liquid products.

Customers are responsible to provide an accurate and complete shipping address in the order. In the event that we are penalised by the carrier for the wrong or incomplete shipping address, customer will be responsible to pay for the address change penalty. 

(Aug 17, 2021) - We just added ICS Courier as one of the delivery option for our customers. Please note that ICS will only deliver to residential address, no PO Box (your address needs to be on Google Map)  and they DO NOT have insurance in their shipping. ICS will also impose NSR (No Signature Required) to all parcels. This means that they are allowed to do Safe Drop and will not be responsible for any loss of parcels. Using them means that you are in agreement to their terms and conditions.

(Jun 17, 2022) - The delivery commitment of ICS could vary between customers. Some customers have received them on time and some did not. We strongly recommend you to choose other carriers, if having your order delivered on time is important to you.

USA Shipping Policy

Please note that all shipments to the United States are subject to approval by U.S. Customs and may be declined without prior notice or explanation. In the event that a parcel is returned to us by U.S. Customs, we will issue a refund only for the value of the products purchased. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Additionally, orders shipped to the U.S. may be subject to duties, taxes, or tariffs imposed by U.S. Customs. These charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient. If the recipient refuses to pay these fees, the parcel may be destroyed by U.S. Customs upon our instruction, and no refund of any kind will be issued. Should the carrier elect to return the parcel to the sender and invoice us for any associated return shipping and re-importation fees, we reserve the right to forward such charges to the recipient for reimbursement. The products restocking fee will also apply.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.

Self-Pick-Up Option

Customers can complete the order online, pre-pay via eTransfer and do a self-pick-up from us. Please contact us after you have placed the order so that we can make arrangement for your pick-up. Please wait until you get the notification email before arriving at our store. If you arrive before receiving the notification and wanted to pick up the order immediately, we will impose $20.00 expedited fee to get your order(s) ready.

Customer selecting this option needs to pick up the items within 7 days after the order is ready. Please contact us if you cannot make it on time. If we do not hear from you after 7 days, we reserve the rights to cancel the order and treat the order as regular return, with 20% restocking fee.

Please note that we do not provide boxes, bubble wrap or packaging material for self-pick-up orders.

Providing Your Own Shipping Label

Customers may choose to use their own shipping labels by informing us ahead and selecting the Self Pickup option at checkout. Upon request, we will provide the necessary box dimensions and weight details once your order is prepared.

However, we strongly recommend using YellowBee’s shipping options to ensure a smoother, safer, and more reliable delivery experience.

Please note: For orders containing glass or other fragile items, we only permit palletized (skid) shipping via truck freight. Courier services will not be accepted for these items due to the high risk of damage. Fragile items require special handling, and third-party couriers often lack the necessary safeguards, increasing the likelihood of damage and disputes over responsibility.

If any damage or loss occurs during transit arranged through your own courier, the customer will be fully responsible for managing all communication and claims with the chosen courier service. YellowBee will not be held liable for any issues arising from self-managed shipping.

To minimize risk and streamline support, we encourage all customers to select one of YellowBee’s in-house shipping options, which are backed by our trusted carrier network and comprehensive support.

 

International Shipping

We are only shipping to Canada, USA and certain countries outside of Canada at this moment. Please contact us for more details.


Backorder

In some cases, we may run out of stock at the time of packaging. If this happens and you’ve purchased a backordered item, we will issue a refund of the product that is unavailable.


Return Policy

We are committed to total customer satisfaction.
a)    Final Sale / Liquidation / Clearance / Special Order

i)    We do not offer any return/refund/exchange for all items marked as Final Sale / Liquidation / Clearance / Special Order.


b)    Damage items due to shipping

i)    Any damaged items need to be reported within 3 days upon receipt of shipment.
ii)    Please take photos of the outer carton box and the damaged item(s).
iii)    Please contact us to arrange for the return & replacement or refund.
iv)    All returns need to be made within 14 days after the initial report is made to us.
v)    For small amount order, we may offer you a refund, instead of a replacement.
vi)    Refund will only be made after we received the return and confirm the damage claim.

c)    Defective items
i) Any defective claims need to be reported within 15 calendar days upon receipt of shipment.
ii) Please provide photos/videos of the claimed defectives and provide detailed descriptions.
vii)   Refund will only be made for actual defective items. If some items were found to be defective, it shall not be assumed that all are defective.


d)    Shipping Error

i)    Any shipping error made by us needs to be reported within 3 days upon receipt of shipment.
ii)    Please contact us to arrange for the return & replacement or refund.
iii)    All returns need to be made within 14 days after the initial report is made to us.
iv)    Only items in unused, original packing, resealable and condition suitable for resale are allowed to be returned.
v)    For amount less than $10.00, we may offer you a refund, instead of a replacement.
vi)    Refund will only be made after we received the return in its original condition.


e)    Change of mind

i)    We allow for 30 days return from the date of order received, if you change your mind after receiving the items.
ii)    Please contact us to arrange for the return & refund.
iii)    All returns need to be made within 14 days after the initial report is made to us.
iv)   Only items in unused, original packing, resealable and condition suitable for resale are allowed to be returned.
v)    Some products such as ingredients, raw materials, fragrance oils, essential oils...etc. cannot be returned after products is shipped as we cannot ensure the product integrity to resell them. 
vi)   Return shipping will be at customer’s expense.
vii)  Refund will exclude the initial shipping cost.
viii)  We will charge a 20% restocking fee of the items to be returned. This is to cover the cost of our labour, time and packing consumables.
ix) All products must be returned unused/unopened in resalable condition and in their entirety including lot size purchased.

f) Refund

i) If a discount code is missed during checkout, we will refund the difference to a store credit only before the order is shipped.

 

New (Sep 23, 2021)

Any customers changing their mind or for any reasons requested an order to be cancelled and refunded before it is processed (start packing) will incur a 3% cancellation fee, if the order is paid with credit cards or through PayPal. This fee is for PayPal and the credit card processing company. Customer can still opt to have the paid amount converted into store credit, without any cancellation fee.


f)    Other conditions

i)    All returns must be shipped by ground service to avoid any customs and brokerage charges. The box & item description needs to be marked as “Return”. Customer will be responsible for the custom, brokerage and other associated fees, if return is made by other mode.
ii)    Some of our items like the metal cans are fragile and can be susceptible to minor dent during shipment. We would like to inform our customers that we cannot assure flawless and perfect condition for such product. We will ensure that we do a 100% visual check before shipment and provide proper protection in the packing.
